The attached Information Bulletin is issued to announce the solicitation for applications to operate a CBP Centralized Examination Station (CES) for Port Everglades, Florida. The solicitation period commences July 24, 2018 and expires on September 24, 2018. The initial phase of the selection process will consist of a 60-day application period, or "open season". Public comments are also invited.

Procedures to Issue Seals for Mandatory Fumigation of Asparagus Shipments

CBP Form AI-523A, Agriculture Chain of Custody

Beginning July 9, 2018, airlines or brokers can send CBP Form AI-523A electronically to to obtain authorization to move asparagus shipments for mandatory fumigation. CBP Agriculture Specialist (CBPAS) assigned to Agriculture Cargo Control (ACC) window will issue any airline or broker under compliance agreement approximately a week’s usage of seals in advance. Airlines or brokers can obtain CBP seals on all evenings after 1700 hours.
